HOW ROOTED BEGAN
ROOTED began with one simple box made with love.
When my mother-in-law was preparing for her first day of chemotherapy, I put together a surprise box filled with little things I hoped would bring her comfort and encouragement. She loved it.
I made a few extra boxes for the nurses to give to other patients receiving treatment who might also need a kind gesture. The response was so meaningful that I knew I wanted to find a way to keep it going.
That small act of kindness became ROOTED.
Today, every ROOTED Box purchased helps us provide another thoughtfully created box to someone receiving care at a local Cancer & Hematology Center.
